Mike Munden formed his company Papillon Noir in 2019 where he will be making original sculptures in steel, acrylic, and resin. All sculptures can be made to order where clients can commission an original artwork to suit their own environment.

Mike, after studying engineering and working in various roles within it, started a business manufacturing metal furniture in 1996. The furniture was sold through various shops in the south of England as well as his own shops in Epping, Essex and the Kings Road in Chelsea.

When in 2007 Mike had the idea for the TV bed, and then had the patent successfully granted, the company grew rapidly which lead to him selling it to move to France with his family.

After several years restoring stone buildings, Mike has returned to his origins of working with metal.
